Aaron Polanco, son of John and Mildred Polanco, was born July 30, 1976, in North Platte where he lived all his life. He passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney on September 24, 2024, at age 48.
After high school, Aaron went to work for the North Platte Inn and was Housekeeping Supervisor until the time of his passing. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Eagles.
He liked playing pool and being in tournaments at the Eagles as well as singing karaoke and spending time with his dogs. He also liked football (his favorite team was the 49ers) and playing fantasy football.
Most important to Aaron was time spent with his family and friends. He looked forward to Christmas and Fridays were special because he spent them with his mom, often playing Keno with her. Aaron cherished every moment of the time spent with his family, friends and dogs. His passing leaves us with many happy memories.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and brother, Shawn.
Aaron is survived by his parents, John and Mildred of North Platte; sisters, Clarice Shields (Lloyd) of McCook, Angela Nila (George) of North Platte and Cynthia Sanchez (Alex) of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, Amber, Heather (Elliot), Alicia (Sid), Joshua, Joey (Mayra) and Julian (Amie); 11 great-nieces and nephews; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
