Nora "Norie" Nancy (Campbell) Manners, 92, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, passed on December 26, 2023 at Hilltop Estates.

Norie was born July 18, 1931, in Gothenburg, NE, daughter of Sidney and Jane "Lily" Campbell.

As a lifetime resident of Gothenburg, NE she graduated from Gothenburg High School with the class of 1949. As a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gothenburg, NE they had the privilege of officiating her marriage ceremony to Frank "Bob" Manners on May 3, 1951. To this union four children were born: Deborah Kay, Bonnie Kay, Robbi Jo, and Jon Robert. Norie was a long-serving member of the local service industry as a waitress. She loved interacting with customers for over 70 years at various restaurants including Frenchys, The Swede Café, The Randazzle Café and The Homestead. She enjoyed drives through the country in a car or on the back of a motorcycle. Her inner peace and creativity was found working in her garden and deciphering the weekly Jumble Word puzzle.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah Kay (Marvin) Hurd of Lakewood, CO; Robbi Jo (Steve) McKenney of Rogers, NE; and one son, Jon Robert (Rhonda Fleecs) Manners of North Platte. Grandchildren; Elyce Hurd of Lakewood, CO; Britnie Hurd of Lakewood, CO; Haydon Lira (Levi) of Bellevue, NE; Conor McKenney of Rodgers, NE; along with many extended family and friends.

Norie was preceded in death by husband, Frank Robert Manners, daughter, Bonnie Kay Manners, parents, Sidney and Jane Campbell, brothers, Clarence, Wayne, and Marian Campbell, and her sisters Florence "Sue" McEntire and Mary Campbell. 

Visitation will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg, Nebraska; Wednesday, January 3, 2024, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. with the family present from 5:00 - 7:00 pm.

Services will be held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, January 4, 2024 at 10:00 am with Pastor David Boyd officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
