As the calendar flips to July the remaining schedule is getting smaller and smaller for the FNBO Nationals Legion team. With their place in Districts locked up they team is using these last few weeks to get ready for postseason play.
This past weekend they were at the Kearney/Hastings tournament and had a tough road with good teams in front of them.
They started off the weekend with tough close game loss to Mt. Michael 1-3.
After that mother nature rolled into the area and put the brakes to games for a few hours.
After the rain delay the Nationals would continue the trouncing of Lincoln East 14-4.
A second game on Saturday would see another loss 3-7 to Northstar.
Sunday would see the FNBO bats come to life as they double up Gretna 16-8 and finish the weekend 2-2.
The Juniors would go 1-2 over the weekend at the Millard Sox tournament.
The Seniors have one more doubleheader against Valentine on Wednesday. The Juniors have finished their regular season and will play in their district tournament starting on July 16th.
