McCook police investigate armed robbery

McCook, Neb.-Police in McCook continue their search for two suspects following an armed robbery.

At around 4:59 a.m. on June 3, officers responded to the report of an armed robbery.

Police said a female reported she was walking northbound on East 5th St. when she was approached by two male subjects at the intersection of East I and East 5th Streets.

The victim told police one of the males questioned her about what was in her purse, then brandished a knife and forcefully took it.

Police said both subjects then fled on foot traveling eastbound on East 5th St.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male in his late teens or early twenties, approximately five feet six inches tall with a thin build. The suspect had no visible facial hair and was wearing a bright blue hooded jacket. 

The second suspect was described as a black male in his late teens or early twenties, approximately five feet 11 inches tall with no visible facial hair. He was wearing a dark t-shirt and blue jeans.

Police are asking residents in the area to check surveillance footage for any possible evidence.
