Connie Marie Tines (1956-2022)

Connie Marie Tines, 65, of North Platte, NE passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at UNMC in Omaha surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 20, 1956 in Sutherland, NE the daughter of Wayne and Joyce (Scott) Hastings.
Connie graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1974 and attended Kearney State and the University of NE in Lincoln.  She married the love of her life Mick on February 16, 1980 in McCook and together they were blessed with two daughters.  She loved working as the billing office manager with pathology services here in North Platte.  Connie was an avid CU “Buffalo” fan and also enjoyed baking, cooking, and watching Rylee race motocross.  She loved making everyone she met happy and was affectionately known by her grandchildren as “Nini.”  She loved spending time with her grandkids and watching them play sports and activities.

Those left to cherish Connie’s memory are her husband of 42 years, Mick; daughters, Crista (Jason) Murrish of North Platte and Jamie Tines of North Platte; grandchildren, Rylee Murrish, Colton and Kyler Way; sisters, Cindy (Todd) Kinney of Ft. Collins, CO and Tammy (Matt) Schwenk of Hayes Center, NE; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gayle and Patricia Tines of Gretna; sister-in-law, Lisa (Greg) Hullinger of Gretna; special nieces and nephews, Jessica, Elizabeth, Alexis, Andie, Alex, Katie, Kasey, Kody, John, Michael, Andrew and Madison; great-niece and great-nephew, Ensley and Eisen; and her black lab “Jig”.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Joyce; and by brother-in-law, John Tines.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Carpenter Memorial Chapel (casual wear is requested).  A reception will follow the service in the Carpenter Memorial family room.  The memorial guest book will be available to sign on Monday, July 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with the arrangements.
