Come into Prairie Arts Center to the 3rd floor ceramic studio and pick out a ceramic piece of your choice to glaze. They will fire it for you! Ceramic prices vary, marked prices includes the glaze and fire fees. No appointment needed. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Prairie Chicken Tour
5:00 AM Leaves from the North Platte Visitors Center
View the largest known Prairie Chicken lek in Nebraska on a guided tour with Dusty Trails as the Prairie Chickens demonstrate a variety of dances and a vast array of sounds as the males attempt to attract a mate. Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Prairie Chickens.
29th Annual Train show
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM D&N Event Center
29th Annual Model Train Show, April 15th & 16th, sponsored by the Nebraska West-Central Division of the NMRA. Admission $5.00, children under 12 $1.00 (under 5 with a paid adult free). Model Railroads in various scales and vendors selling model railroad material and railroadania.

Play is the Way
11:00 AM - 1:00 PM North Platte Public Library Meeting Room
Take a little time to have some fun with your kids and see that Play is the Way. Activities for ages 2-6 will be set up in the library meeting room to provide an opportunity for parents/caregivers to play with their child/children. Information will be provided on playing with your child and early childhood services within the community.

Sacred Oath Patriot Potluck

3rd Annual Kevin Kennedy 5K Hero Run & Family Mile
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Iron Horse Park
Lincoln County CASA Presents the "3rd Annual Kevin Kennedy 5K Hero Run & Family Mile." This is a "super" 5K, slightly longer than 3.1 miles, approximately 3.4 miles on a 3-loop course. Kids and adults are encouraged to dress up in their favorite heroic attire! Prizes for best superhero costumes— adults and kids. Packet pickup and race day registration will begin at 4 p.m. at Iron Horse Park. 5K begins at 5 p.m. with the mile to follow at 5:45 p.m. Swag for 5K includes a race T-shirt; the mile includes a medal for all kids who participate. Additional race shirts are available for purchase.
