Melissa Kay Martinez, 38, of North Platte, passed away December 8, 2022 as a result of a vehicle accident. She was born on September 10, 1984 to Simon and Mary (McIntosh) Martinez Sr. in North Platte.
Melissa attended school in North Platte. She was very close to her family and was a stay-at-home mother. She enjoyed having fun with family and friends, especially outside, taking kids to the park. She loved her dogs. Melissa was the rock of her family. She will be remembered as always being cheerful and happy but would speak her mind when necessary.
Survivors include children, Sefrino and Jakobie; siblings, Simon Martinez of North Platte, Stephanie (Francisco) FaJardo of Stapleton, Donna Lunsford of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, Franco Turnbull, ArMonti Cyles, Fransisco FaJardo Jr., Johnny Lunsford; dogs, Midnight, Bella, Penelope; several other family members and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Mary; brother, Travis; grandparents; dog, Cinnamon.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Salvation Army with Major Lynette Poff officiating. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
