Nebraska State Patrol
(NORTH PLATTE, NEB.) — Investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol conducted alcohol compliance checks in Thomas, Hooker, Grant, and Arthur Counties last weekend.
In total, 11 businesses were checked. Two of those businesses sold alcohol to a minor. Neither of the businesses that sold to a minor checked their ID. The checks throughout these counties had a compliance rate of 82%. The businesses checked included convenience stores, grocery stores, restaurants, bars, and liquor stores.
The businesses that sold alcohol to a minor were:
Sandhill Oil Co. – Thedford
The Bunkhouse – Arthur
Businesses that sell alcohol to a minor are referred to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission. Clerks who sell alcohol to a minor are cited for procuring alcohol to a minor.
