
A North Platte woman has been accused of striking a man with a vehicle during a disagreement over some license plates.
According to North Platte police, on November 11, at 10:58 a.m., officers responded to the 1200 Block of East 4th Street on the report of a disturbance.
Police say upon arrival, officers spoke with the alleged victim.
Police say the victim indicated that he observed a car in the parking lot with license plates that were previously stolen from his girlfriend. The victim reported that he confronted the driver of the vehicle about the stolen license plates and the vehicle attempted to leave the area.
According to police, it was reported that as the vehicle was leaving, it struck the victim before fleeing the scene.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle shortly after the incident was reported and conducted a traffic stop. Officers made contact with the driver, 30-year-old Amanda Vanlengen.
Police say officers were able to establish probable cause and Vanlengen was placed under arrest on suspicion of 2nd-degree assault and possession of stolen property.
Vanlengen was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
The victim suffered minor injuries during the incident.
