Fred Arthur Baugher, age 73, of Stockville, Nebraska passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
He was born on February 27, 1947 at Sandwich, Illinois to Harriet and Russel Baugher. Fred grew up in Marseilles, Illinois and spend most of his life being a collector and building outhouses as well as about 70 banks throughout Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska in his lifetime.
He served in the United States Army, doing a tour of duty in Korea from February 24, 1967 and was honorably discharged on September 27, 1968.
Fred is survived by his siblings John Baugher of Marseilles, Illinois, Theresa Rose of Tyler, Texas, James Baugher of Greenville, South Caroliina, David Baugher of Baytown, Texas, Ruth Higby of Washington, Missouri, and Gerald Baugher of Thompsville, Illinois; numerous nieces and nephews; longtime friends Jan Laux and Benny Lashley; his poodle, Inky; and many other friends.
Graveside services were held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska with Full Military Honors.
Memorials may be made to the family for a later designation.
