The North Platte Police Department participated in a National Speed Awareness Grant in partnership with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.&nbsp; From July 10th&nbsp;to July 31st, 112 hours of overtime hours were logged by participating officers in the enforcement efforts.&nbsp; 182 total traffic contacts were made with a total of fifty-five citations issued department wide.&nbsp; Four arrests were made for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or drugs.&nbsp; Four citations were issued for Driving Under Suspension, six citations were issued for violation of Traffic control devices.

Four felony arrests were made from traffic stops.&nbsp; Two of the felony arrests were made during a traffic stop where 6 grams of methamphetamine were seized.&nbsp;

Eight fugitive arrests were made in conjunction with traffic stops.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;
