
Cecelia R. “Cece” Allison, 83, of Stapleton, Nebraska, passed away February 15, 2023 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. She was born November 20, 1939 to George and Florence (Rayer) Neumann in Indianola, Nebraska.
Cecelia was united in marriage to Wallace “Wally” Allison on February 27, 1960 in Indianola. She was a graduate of Indianola High School, McCook College, Chadron State College with her B.S. and her M.A. from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Cecelia taught at numerous schools in Nebraska, Kansas and Arizona, spending 9 years in the Stapleton/Ringgold area. She taught elementary, K-12 Gifted and Media students. She retired from teaching to take care of Wally during his last years. Cecelia was part of the Opela Outpost Antique Store from 2019 to present, member of the Teachers Association, NEA, NSEA and Alter Society. A couple of Cece's hobbies were going to casinos and thrift stores. She loved birds, her dogs, antiques and she had a photographic memory. She will be remembered for being extremely sharp and feisty, and may have had an opinion or two.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Florence Neumann; husband Wally; son Kevin; brother, Dave Neumann; 3 sisters, Barbara Hughes, Mary England and Alice Rikmamis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00 A.M., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Stapleton, Nebraska, with Rev. Thomas Gudipalli as celebrant. Inurnment will follow the service at Loup Valley Cemetery, near Stapleton. Christian Wake services will be 7 P.M. on Friday, April 28, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Stapleton. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
