Andrew P. "Andy" Dunn, Jr., age 72, passed away on January 17, 2021 at Central Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney, Nebraska. He was born on September 20, 1948 to Andrew and Ngit (Young) Dunn, Sr. in Hilo, Hawaii.
Andy graduated from high school in Hilo, Hawaii and continued his education at Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa where he received his associate's degree. He married Sharon Cobb on September 8, 1968 and they had three children: Kristin, Robert, and Holly.
Andy enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Fulda, Germany. After his discharge, he moved to North Platte, Nebraska and began his career with Simon Construction. He retired as a contractor/foreman with them.
Andy married Julie Stark in 1990, and to this union a son, Sam, was born. He enjoyed shooting guns and was a Charter Founder and National President for over 30 years for the American Veteran's Motorcycle Club (AVMC), which is dedicated to helping veterans.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Dunn of North Platte, Nebraska and Sam (Shayla) Dunn of Hastings, Nebraska; six siblings, Ilene, Patricia, Gail, Annette, Francis, and Jerry; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his daughters, Kristen and Holly.

Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebraska with Pastor Ryan Alexander officiating. Visitation will be held from noon - 7:oo p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte, Nebraska, which is in charge of arrangements. The service will be livestreamed on the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home Facebook page for those that are not able to attend.
