Lincoln, NE – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Division of Medicaid and Long-Term Care (MLTC) will host the next Medicaid listening tour throughout October and November 2023 in communities around the state.
“The Listening Tour is a great way for us to hear from Medicaid members and providers. It is a way to learn about and determine necessary program changes, which will ensure Nebraskans live better lives," CEO Dr. Steve Corsi said.
During the “Navigating Medicaid: Exploring Updates and Changes to Health Plans, Coverage, and the Unwind" Listening Tour, Nebraska Medicaid will be announcing upcoming changes to the program and providing updates on the continuous coverage unwind. This Listening Tour will host 12 meetings in 10 cities throughout Nebraska, along with two virtual sessions.
On this tour, the MLTC team will share important updates coming to the program in 2024. More importantly, the meetings offer an opportunity for those in attendance to speak directly with the leadership from Nebraska's Medicaid program and the managed care organizations that will provide Medicaid services in 2024: Nebraska Total Care, UnitedHealthcare, and Molina Healthcare.
“Our Listening Tour in April allowed us to hear vital feedback from our stakeholders. These insights help us make continuous changes to the Medicaid program that is centered around the needs of our members and providers," MLTC Director Kevin Bagley said. “In 2024, we will be making changes to the program that are based on previous feedback and will help ensure that Nebraskans across the state have access to the healthcare they deserve."
