    Lee Wayne Ralston, age 76 passed, away on June 27, 2024 peacefully at North Platte Care Center surrounded by family and loved ones. 

    Lee was born to George and Francis (Murray) Ralston on June 21, 1948 in Curtis, Nebraska. He was the third of six children and grew up in Stockville and received his education at Curtis from where he graduated in 1966. After graduating, Lee joined the Nebraska National Guard where he served for 10 years. 

    Lee married Donna in 1968, where they had a daughter. Later, Lee and Donna divorced. Lee then married Deborah (Baumfalk) Ralston in November 1984. After living in McCook, they then moved to North Platte where Lee worked at Farmers Mutual of Nebraska. Lee worked there for 35 years before retiring. 

    Lee and Deb were married for 39 years, before his passing in June.

    Lee enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, golfing, riding motorcycles, and was an amateur radio operator. After retiring, Lee and Deb traveled south to Arizona during the winter months for many years. They also spent many summers camping at Hart Ranch Resort in South Dakota. 

    Lee is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Alice Hinton; and brother, John Ralston. 

    He is survived by his wife Deborah; his daughter, Becky (Michael) Beckman of Thompson Falls, MT; step-children, Dennis (Angie) Baumfalk and Jill Richardson of North Platte, NE; five grandchildren: Chelcie Baumfalk of Edmond, OK, Corbin Baumfalk of Stillwater, OK, Jordan Richardson of North Platte, Madison Derr of Kearney, NE, and Makenzie Derr of Kearney; two great-grandchildren, Taylar and Jett of North Platte; he is also survived by his siblings, Connie (Jim) Stark of North Platte. Kenneth (Kathy) Ralston of McCook and Linda Monte of North Platte; brother-in- law, Jack Hinton of Colorado; and sister-in-law, Janie Ralston of Maywood, NE; as well as a host of extended nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    Cremation was chosen and it was Lee’s wish that no formal services be held.  

    Memorials are suggested to the family of Lee Ralston for future designation.  Online condolences may be left at herrmannfh.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook.
