The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will meet Monday, March 30, at the Lincoln County Courthouse in North Platte, with a wide-ranging agenda that includes permits, infrastructure planning, and emergency management updates.

The meeting begins at 9 a.m. with routine business, including approval of minutes from the March 23 meeting, claims and treasurer’s receipts, and the county sheriff’s fee report.

Commissioners are also scheduled to consider two conditional use permits—one for Neil and Cassandra Sundstrom and another for Jeffery and Robyn Huffman.

At 9:15 a.m., the board will recess and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization. During that portion of the meeting, officials will review and consider certificates of correction and refund submitted by the county assessor.

Following the equalization meeting, commissioners will resume their regular session and consider appointing a member to the Oversight Committee for the Nebraska International Port of the Plains Board.

Later in the morning, the board will review an application from Joshua and Renae Baird and Melvin Lake for the Baird Administrative Subdivision. The property is located in a Transitional Agricultural District along North Washboard Road.

Commissioners will also hear the annual report from Visit North Platte Executive Director Lisa Burke.

Several road-related items are on the agenda, including setting April 20 at 10 a.m. as the date to receive bids for an asphalt paving project and considering the purchase of grader blades for the county roads department.

In addition, the board will discuss a proposed interlocal agreement with the City of North Platte for animal control services.

Emergency management will also be addressed, with Region 51 Emergency Management Director Brandon Myers scheduled to provide an update on the Cottonwood fire. Commissioners will also consider authorizing Myers to attend the International Association of Emergency Managers conference in November.

The board may enter closed session if necessary to discuss legal, personnel, or security matters. The meeting will conclude with reports and concerns from elected officials and department heads.
