Lincoln, Ne - The Hitchcock County Falcons from Trenton & Culbertson Nebraska respectivly won the D2 State Championship Monday morning at UNL's Memorial Stadium 22-12 over perinial powerhouse Howells-Dodge.
The Falcons were up 8-0 after the first quarter, but trailed 12-8 at halftime. On the first drive of the 3rd quarter, Hitchcock County scored on a long Touchdown Pass. The Falcons would score another Touchdown in the 4th quarter to seal their first title. Hitchcock County finished the season 13-0. Howells-Dodge finished 12-1.
