
A rural Gering man missing since Feb. 21 has been found dead in Wyoming by family members.
The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Office reported Joseph Sloan, 37, was found by family members in rural Laramie County, Wyo. Foul play is not suspected, officials said in a news release.
The Laramie County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.
"Our department worked closely with the family and other agencies during the search for Joseph," the Scotts Bluff COunty Sheriff's Office said in a news release. "We wish to thank the Nebraska State Patrol (the Air Wing spent many hours on the search over two days), the Goshen County Sheriff’s Office (Torrington, Wyo.), the Laramie County Sheriff’s Office (Cheyenne, Wyo.), and the Wyoming Highway Patrol for the assistance they provided.
