Donald Stenger peacefully passed away at his home in Lincoln County on January 22, 2024, at the age of 77.
Don, the son of Lester and Roberta Stenger, was born October 31, 1946, in North Platte where he grew up. He graduated from North Platte High School in 1965.
When he was 16, Don started farming and he did so all his life. He loved what he did and enjoyed being in the outdoors.
On May 8, 1965, Don married Loretta Wilhelmson in Hot Springs, South Dakota, and they made their home on the farm, southeast of town.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include Don's wife, Loretta, son, Jeff (Julie) Stenger, and daughter, Julie Kreutzer, all of North Platte; grandchildren, Brandon and Brittney Stenger, Kayla and Jeremiah Keith, Kyann Kreutzer, Kyndsay and Garett Schledewitz; great-grandchildren, Brinley, Julian, Jaxtyn, Holly and Bridger; his brother, Vernon (Jackie) Stenger of Maxwell; and nephew, B.J. Stenger.
