Connie Lou McNulty, 85, passed away on January 3, 2024, after a brief stay at Cozad Community Hospital. Connie was born on December 31, 1938 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Lloyd and Vera (Aden) Sealander of Gothenburg. Connie was involved in Eastern Star, was founding Queen of the Cozad Chapter of the Red Hat Society and an accomplished seamstress. Connie enjoyed working with the public and had various retail positions during her working career. Connie was a passionate animal lover and if there was a cat around, Connie would be there. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents, Lloyd and Vera; and her sister, Carol Bihlmaier. Connie is survived by her son, Michael McNulty and daughter, Debra McDonald; 4 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and her half brother, Larry Parsons. There are many people the family would like to thank: the Cozad Community Hospital staff, the Cozad Fire and Rescue Department, the staff at Emerald Nursing and ReHab (Cozad) and the Community of Cozad.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Cozad Fire and Rescue. Services will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Haynes officiating. Burial will follow at Cottonwood Cemetery, North of Cozad. Visitation with family present will be Monday, January 8, 2024 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
