Sustainable Beef LLC is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Wagnon as General Manager for our new beef processing plant in North Platte, Nebraska.  Ryan is a graduate of Oklahoma Panhandle State University and has spent his 22 year career working in beef processing facilities.

Bill Rupp, Sustainable Beef Board Member, adds, “Ryan has a very well rounded background and I am particularly impressed with his strong, people oriented, leadership style.”

Sustainable Beef LLC will hire other senior management including the areas of accounting, human resources, plant maintenance, plant operations, purchasing and safety during 2024, with hiring planned for line workers in 2025.

Ryan and Chassidy will be relocating their family to North Platte this summer as we work toward our expected opening in the summer of 2025.

Sustainable Beef LLC was formed in the summer of 2020 to construct a $400 million plant in North Platte, Nebraska which will employ over 800 employees.  A small group of cattlemen and local investors are partnering with Walmart to connect the various points of beef supply chain together to efficiently provide a food safe and secure beef supply that satisfies consumer expectations.

“We are creating a unique cooperative model where all aspects of the beef supply chain work together in doing what is best for all parties involved” said David Briggs, CEO.
