Alvin Earl Fahrenbruch, age 98, of McCook, NE passed away on April 16, 2024 at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg, NE.
Alvin was born September 15, 1925 in Culbertson, NE to parents Carl J. and Julia (Hock) Fahrenbruch. He was one of five children born to the union.
On September 28, 1947, Alvin married Sara Jeanine Creighton in Atwood, KS. The couple was blessed with two daughters: Ramona Louise and Julia Beth. The family made their home in Colorado, before Alvin and Jeannine returned to Nebraska in 1988. At the beginning of his career, Alvin worked as a farmer, gas station attendant, oil rigger, truck driver and grocery store manager before entering into a partnership with a food brokerage firm (KBF) in Denver. He later sold his share of the firm and retired, ultimately moving back to Nebraska with Jeanine, first to Culbertson and then to McCook. Alvin enjoyed fishing, camping and touring various parts of the country in their RV. Alvin was a member of the United Methodist Church in Culbertson.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jeannine; brothers, Adolph and Elmer Fahrenbruch; and sisters, Rachael Steinke and Elsie Violet, who died in infancy.
Those left to celebrate his life include his daughters, Ramona and Julia Fahrenbruch, both of Turlock, CA; as well as numerous extended family members which includes nieces, nephews and cousins.
