Nebraska's Lauren Thiele put together rounds of 73 and 75 to close the first 36 holes tied atop the leaderboard at the Big O Classic in Omaha on Monday.
Thiele, a redshirt sophomore from Wahoo, Neb., shares the tournament lead with Omaha's Katie Ruge at 148 (+5) heading into Tuesday's final round on the par-72, 6,019-yard layout at the Oak Hills Country Club.
Thiele was joined in the top 10 by Husker teammates Danica Lundgren and Symran Shah. Lundgren, a freshman from Austin, Texas, matched Thiele with an opening-round 73, before adding a second-round 78. Lundgren is in sixth place at 151 (+7) through 36 holes.
Shah, a redshirt sophomore from Carrolltown, Texas, sits just one shot back of Lundgren in a tie for seventh at 152 (+8) after rounds of 73 and 79.
All three Huskers are playing as individuals in a 50-player field at the Big O Classic. They will challenge for the individual title on Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. (CT). Live scoring is available from GolfStat.
