
NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-North Platte police used surveillance footage to identify the suspect in a recent stabbing in North Platte.
According to police, on September 10, 2020, at 3:33 a.m., officers responded to a stabbing in the 1500 Block of East 4th Street.
Police say, upon arrival, officers located a male victim who was bleeding and had an injury to his arm. Officers made contact with several individuals in the area but were unable to gather any information on who was involved.
Officers were able to obtain security footage of the incident and 33-year-old Pedro Hernandez Jr was established as the suspect.
Police say, during the investigation, probable cause was established to arrest Hernandez on suspicion of 1st-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
On September 15, 2020, officers located Hernandez in the 1100 Block of South Dewey. Hernandez was placed under arrest without incident and incarcerated at the Lincoln County Detention Center.
The victim was transported by North Platte EMS to Great Plains Health with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
