Janssen GMC of North Platte is giving back to a place that holds special meaning for many local families.
Over the past couple of months, the dealership set aside $50 from every vehicle sale, raising a total of $3,450 to donate to the North Platte Children’s Museum.
Jared Lashley, General Sales Manager at Janssen GMC, said the effort was something the entire sales team believed in, especially because of their personal connection to the museum.
“This one really means something to us,” Lashley said. “Every one of us has kids, and we’ve all spent time at the Children’s Museum with our families. It’s one of those places that just matters in North Platte. When we talked about ways to give back, this felt like the right choice.”
The North Platte Children’s Museum continues to serve as a hands-on space for learning and play, and is currently working toward a new location to expand its impact in the community.
Lashley said supporting that effort is one way Janssen GMC can give back to a community that has long supported the business.
“North Platte has always shown up for us,” he said. “So when we have the chance to turn around and support something that means so much to local families, we’re all in.”
He added that anyone who has experienced the museum firsthand understands its value and encouraged others to support its future if they are able.
