Robert Leroy “Bob” Magnuson, 91, of North Platte, Nebraska passed away February 14, 2023 at Centennial Park in North Platte. He was born October 21, 1931 to Malcome and Helga (Berg) Magnuson in Arnold, Nebraska.
Bob was born at home at Tallin Table and attended Tallin School through 8th grade. He graduated from Arnold High School with the class of 1949. He met Audrey Kramer at a dance at the KC Hall in North Platte. The couple eloped to Sidney, Iowa on September 3, 1955. They honeymooned at the State Fair in Lincoln, Nebraska. Bob farmed and did ranch work for the Peterson family, worked on the bridge crew for the railroad, drove truck for Connelly Truckline and then moved to California. He drove truck for a few different companies and retired from Vons Grocery Company in 1993. After retirement they moved into their fifth wheel and traveled for 18 years throughout the U.S. and Canada. The couple square danced for years. Bob loved fishing, traveling, reading, historical museums, history, and gardening. He also enjoyed hunting as a youth and loved his horse Diamond, when he was a child.

Bob is survived by his wife, Audrey of North Platte; two children, David Malcome (Florence) Magnuson, of North Platte and Donna Jean (Ross) Jimenez of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; grandchildren, Eric (Renee) Magnuson, of Farr West, Utah, Joel (Mary) Magnuson, of Grants Pass, Oregon, Amy Magnuson, of Farr West, Utah, Cassandra (Jon) Erickson of Jacksonville, Florida, Robert (Bry) Jimenez of Gering, Nebraska; great grandchildren, Adam, Sarah, Logan, Ryan, Amara, Colby, Lucy Magnuson, Kobe, Knoah and Kashdyn Jimenez; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Malcome and Helga Magnuson; siblings, John (Nancy) Magnuson, Ellen (Roy) Lewis, Mable (Frances) Bean, Glen (Betty) Magnuson, and an infant brother; brothers-in law, George (Darlene) Kramer, Robert (Hazel) and (Doris) Kramer, Raymond Kramer, Joseph Kramer; sister-in-law, Edna (Leroy) Griffiths.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Pastor Jean Anderson officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Visitation will be
noon-7:00 P.M., with family receiving friends from 5-7, Friday, February 17, 2023 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
