The North Platte Police Department responded to more than 640 calls for service during the past week, according to the department’s latest weekly activity report, which included the Memorial Day weekend travel period.
The report covers May 17 through May 24 and shows officers handled 642 calls for service during the week, bringing the department’s total for the year to 9,217.
Officers also conducted 216 traffic stops over the seven-day period. Year-to-date, North Platte Police have made 1,858 traffic stops.
Police reported a total of 51 arrests during the week, including seven felony arrests, 35 misdemeanor arrests, and nine DUI arrests. So far in 2026, the department has recorded 132 felony arrests, 624 misdemeanor arrests, and 50 DUI arrests.
The department also responded to 17 traffic accidents during the week. Through May 24, officers have investigated 353 crashes in 2026.
