
NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-A North Platte woman has been arrested after she allegedly assaulted two people, one with a hammer.
According to police, on June 24, 2020, at 8:48 a.m., Officers responded to the 1100 Block of West 11th Street on the report of a disturbance.
Police say officers learned that the suspect had departed the area in a vehicle which was quickly located and stopped in the 1600 Block of West 9th.
Officers arrived on scene and made contact with two victims.
Both victims advised that 39-year-old Nichol Lytle, entered the home without permission and began assaulting one of the victims. The victim alleged that she was scratched and punched several times by Lytle.
Police say the second victim told officers they attempted to break up the first altercation when Lytle began assaulting them. Both victims advised that during the second assault, Lytle grabbed a hammer and began striking the second victim with it, before fleeing the scene.
According to police, one of the victims also left on foot, but again encountered Lytle where she was again assaulted.
Officers say they observed injuries and evidence supporting the victim's stories.
Lytle was placed under arrest on suspicion of 2nd-degree domestic assault, burglary, and 3rd-degree assault. Lytle was incarcerated at the Lincoln County Jail.
