North Platte, Neb. -&nbsp;On 01-21-25, officers responded to 900 Autumn Park Drive on the report of a male inside an apartment who threatened himself and others with a firearm. The apartment containing the suspect was secured and residents from surrounding apartments were evacuated. Negotiations with the subject were attempted. 

Entry was gained into the apartment and the suspect was found deceased. Because the apartment had been secured by the North Platte Police Department, possibly prior to the subject’s death, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department was contacted and will conduct the death investigation in order to meet the statutory obligations of the grand jury process.
