Mildred Marie MaGee, age 95, of Lincoln, Nebraska, formerly of Brule, Nebraska, died Friday, June 11, 2021, at Independence House in Lincoln.
Mildred was born Sept. 28, 1925 at Ogallala, Nebraska to Fred and Maria (Arndt) Martens. She grew up and received her early education at Brule, Nebraska.
She was united in marriage to Harold Gordon MaGee on Sept. 24, 1946 at Ogallala. In 1947 the couple moved to Ogden, UT, where Harold worked at the Defense Depot and she was employed by the J.C. Penney Company.
From 1993 to 2000 Harold and Mildred enjoyed spending the summers in Farnam, Nebraska, and the winters in Arizona. The couple moved back to Brule in 2001.
Mildred was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brule.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold in 2012; a son, Kevin MaGee; her daughter, Nancy Cox; granddaughter, Karissa MaGee; sister, Ethel Burgland; and four brothers, Elmer, Norman, Clarence and Harlan Martens.
Survivors include son Ron and wife Dawn MaGee of Bertrand, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren including Zac and Eric MaGee both of Lincoln, NE; many great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Bill Burgland; and sister-in-law, Janice Martens.
Memorials are suggested to Ogallala Community Hospital or St. John's Lutheran Church in Brule.
Visitation will be at Draucker Funeral Home in Ogallala, Nebraska on Wednesday , June 16, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Mountain time).
Graveside service and Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time), Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Fort McPherson National Cemetery south of Maxwell, Nebraska with Rev. Jon Dickmander of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brule officiating.
