Laura Nokes, of McCook, is the winner of the 2023 North Platte Community College Foundation Auction House. She submitted the winning bid of $240,000&nbsp;–&nbsp;a record for the college.

Students in the college’s Building Construction, Electrical and Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) Technology programs built the home from the ground up to gain hands-on, real-world experience.

The home was then sold via auction. Proceeds will be used to fund scholarships for students in the building trades.
