Benefiting North Platte Kids Klub in Celebration of Lights On Afterschool & Summer Learning Programs
North Platte, NE — October 10, 2025 — The North Platte Public Schools Foundation (NPPSF) is excited to announce Movie on the Field, presented by Nebraskaland Bank, featuring Disney’s Moana 2!
This community-wide event will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, with gates at North Platte High School's Bauer field opening at 5:30 p.m. and the movie starting at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free, and free-will donations will be accepted to benefit North Platte Kids Klub.
The first 100 families in attendance will receive a free blanket, provided by Kids Klub. The concession stand will be open for everyone to enjoy, thanks to the generous support of Nebraskaland Bank. The event is open to the entire community and surrounding area—everyone is invited to join in this special evening of fun, family, and community. Bring your lawn chairs and blanket. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Celebrating Lights On Afterschool
Kids Klub is proud to join the nationwide celebration of Lights On Afterschool, shining a spotlight on the critical role afterschool and summer programs play in the lives of children, families, and communities.
Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event recognizing afterschool programs and their contributions to student learning, safety, and development. Organized by the Afterschool Alliance, this effort has become a hallmark of the afterschool movement—garnering national attention each year. The official celebration day is Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Kids Klub, part of North Platte Public Schools, operates in all seven elementary schools and serves around 600 students annually during the school year and summer.
