The City of North Platte’s contractor Western Engineering will begin resurfacing operation, which includes roto-milling the surface and laying asphalt, on Friday August 11th.
The sequence of areas to be overlayed are as follow:
1. Poplar Street from 12th Street to Cody Park.
2. 9th Street from Cottonwood Street to Poplar Street.
3. 8th Street from Poplar Street to Roosevelt Avenue.
4. Poplar Street from Philip Avenue to Francis Street.
5. Cottonwood Street from Philip Avenue to Francis Street.
6. Easy Street from Cottonwood Street west.
As part of the resurfacing project all vehicles and trailers will have to be removed until the milling and placement operations are completed. There will be some short periods of time that driveways will not be accessible as these operations pass the driveways. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may pose and will work as quickly as possible to minimize the inconvenience.
Alternate routes are suggested or may be required. Access to Local businesses will be maintained with delays possible.
Please use caution around the construction area and observe and follow all signs and flagger instructions for the safety of you and the workers.
