Walter William “Walt” Pepper, aged 64, of North Platte, passed away on October 13, 2023, at his home in North Platte. On May 13, 1959, he was born to William Edward Pepper and Darlene Marie Osborn, the youngest of five and only boy, in San Antonio, TX.
As a child, Walt moved around frequently due to his father’s position in the military. He attended Tri Center High School near Neola, IA. After high school, Walt moved to Florida where he worked on the shrimp boats, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He then attended a trade school to learn HVAC. He used this knowledge to work for Knobels in North Platte, where he moved to in 2010. Walt was always quiet and reserved, having a few very close friends that he would do anything for. He loved the ocean, hunting, and fishing. Those that knew him well, knew his fun personality, great sense of humor, and witty comebacks.
Survivors of Walt include his siblings, Linda Pace of Altamonte Springs, FL, Su Harper of North Platte, Kathy (Dan) Shea of North Platte, and Alyce Troll of Sioux Center, IA; 6 nieces and nephews; 9 great nieces and nephews; other family.
Those preceding him in death are his parents, William and Darlene.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 2 PM at Plainview Cemetery in Maxwell with Reverend Ned Cooper as officiant. Visitation will take place on Monday, October 16, 2023 from 12 PM to 2 PM at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
