With the checkered flag in sight, Rebel Diment crossed the finish line and won life's race early Sunday morning on April 25, 2021.
On May 26, 1940, the green flag waved and Rebel started the exciting and motivating race called "life." The race was destined to offer many things, but one duty she proudly accepted was to claim, conquer and openly take the mission to live up to her name.
With the challenge recognized and accepted, her life included family, work, fun, and enjoyment. Working in knee-high go-go boots (but preferring moccasins), driving fast cars (and staying one mile ahead of the competition and the law), riding motorcycles in the sun (and in the rain), helping people whenever she could, baking delicious candies, cakes and cookies, and running multiple buisnesses were her many accomplishments. However, her greatest joy was showing unconditional love and caring for her kids who were her world and she would proudly tell everyone that.
Each lap of life she took was driven affectionately for her kids in effort to make their world better. Her compassion for family and friends surpassed everything. Her large and generous heart continuously gave and cared for her family, friends, and even strangers. You always knew the gift and love she gave was genuinely from the heart.
Her work ethic was second to none. If you look up "work ethic" in the dictionary, there would surely be a picture of her. There are a few on this earth that are as dependable, reliable, hardworking, prompt, courteous, compassionate, honest, trustworthy, sincere and stubborn as she was. (Yes, she was stubborn.)
As the race continued, Rebel received a multitude of blessings she enjoyed and cherished and thanked the Good Lord for them. Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids were one of those blessings. She cherished them and through them she proudly became known as "GG."
While her blessings were plentiful, she also endured many challenges, hurdles, and heartbreaks in life. Her faith, strength and determination helped overcome heartache and conquer obstacles most can only imagine, and she hoped others would never endure.
While she will miss those she loved and cared for during the race, the satisfaction at the completion of this journey was heaven-sent. She knew she would be welcomed in the winner's circle by her Lord & Savior; her soulmate and love of her life, Jim; her son, Shane; her daughter, Shawn; and her fur-babies, Renegade, Sassy, RJ, Daisy, and Blue. This is a reunion she deeply longed for and was anxious to receive.
Those left to continue the race and forever remember her victorious life are her daughter, Shannon (James) Herrada; grandkids, Brandon (Rochelle) Herrada and Mandi (Kyle) Praeuner; great grandkids, Gabe & Ann Praeuner; and 9 great-grand fur-babies; a son-in-law, Bill Lowrey; and many fabulous friends she considered family.
