
Ronald “Ron” H. Harrison, age 75, of Trenton, Nebraska passed away at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton on June 16, 2020. Ron was born in the hospital in Stratton, Nebraska on June 17, 1944 to Stephen J. and Lela Faye (Degele) Harrison. The family moved to Trenton where he attended and graduated from Trenton High School in 1963.
Ron worked for various farmers in the area. He later went to work for the El Dorado Manor in Trenton retiring after 20 plus years as a CNA. Ron was very good at his job and enjoyed the social contact with all he met and took care of. Ron never married, but family was very important to him. He enjoyed time spent with his siblings and his many nieces and nephews. He collected coins and was a huge Kansas City Chiefs and Nebraska Football fan. The manor was planning his birthday party, fixing his favorite meal of Cheeseburgers and a Dr. Pepper. He loved to play Keno and was lucky at winning often.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Stephen and Lela; nieces: Deanna Anderson and Debbie Tino and nephew, Eugene Colby.
Ron is survived by two sisters: Marilyn Barnett of Trenton and Faye Colby of McCook, Nebraska; brother: Stephen (LaDonna) Harrison of Lebanon, Nebraska; nieces and nephews: Doug (Deanna) Harrison of McCook, Donnalea Harrison of Lebanon, Rick (Kim) Kramer of Atwood, Kansas, Micky (James) Jenkins of Exeter, Missouri, Terri (Dave) Desrochers of Cassville, Missouri, Dottie (Ray) Morrison of Sherman, Texas, Bobbi Cooper of McCook, Tom (Laura) Anderson of Trenton, Teresa Kipp of McCook, Jason Colby of McCook, and Bradley Anderson of Norton, Kansas; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Dewayne Jackson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook.
