Nelden Dean Hewitt was born on November 22, 1936 in Palisade, Nebraska to Clarence H. and Anna (Cunningham) Hewitt.
Nelden grew up in Chase County, Nebraska and graduated from Wauneta High School in 1954.
After high school, Neldon joined the U.S. Army where he began a 20 year military career.
On December 14, 1956, Nelden married Kinue Maeda in Hokkiado, Japan.
Neldon enjoyed fishing and traveling in his RV and he especially loved spending time with his family.
Nelson passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the Bonney Lake Comfort Care Center in Bonney Lake, Washington. Neldon was 84 years of age.
Survivors include his son, Lee Hewitt and wife Tina; grandchildren, Fontelle Osborn and husband Donovan and Dean Hewitt; great-grandchildren Hadley Fontelle and Braxton Carl Curtiss Osborn.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time at Riverside Cemetery in Wauneta, Nebraska, with Full Military Honors, with Pastor J.R. Kline officiating.
