Emergency Management Region 51 Press Release

We would like to provide a reminder to the public. Please, when EMERGENCY OPERATIONS are being conducted, whether it is a wildland fire, Law Enforcement emergency event, etc, PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THE AREA!!!

By driving in the area to try and see what is going on or to get a glimpse, photo or video, you are putting yourself as well as our Emergency Responders in danger. If you are in the area, we have to divert resources to deal with the increased traffic instead of putting all of our attention into the emergency at hand. If you happen to get caught up in the dangerous event and need assistance, we have to divert Emergency Personnel away from the emergency to assist you. God forbid you cause a collision or worse with an emergency vehicle by you being in the area.

Again, PLEASE STAY OUT OF THE AREA WHEN AN EMERGENCY IS GOING ON!! ALLOW OUR EMERGENCY PERSONNEL TO DO THEIR JOBS SAFELY AND WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT INCREASED TRAFFIC FLOW IN A DANGEROUS AREA.
