Charles "Chuck" W. Green, age 89, passed away surrounded by loved ones in McCook, NE, on July 16, 2024.
Charles was born on January 6, 1935, to parents William and Minnie (Ferwerda) Green in McHenry, IL. Charles graduated from high school in 1953 and went to Cornell University on a wrestling scholarship. He graduated with his bachelors in 1957.
He married the love of his life Mary Susan Crady in Denver, CO in 1965, and from this union, Heather and Brendan were born. Charles was a wrestling coach and teacher in Cheyenne Wells, CO for many years before he moved to McCook, NE in 2002. In McCook, he worked in the Physical Plant Department at McCook Community College.
Charles will be remembered for being a hard worker, a kind heart, a great sense of humor, and family oriented. Charles and Mary would follow the kids and grandchildren to support them in their activities.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brother, Jim Green.
Those left to celebrate his life his children, Heather (Jerry) Harvie of McCook and Brendan (Rachelle) Green of Nampa, ID; and his four grandchildren, Drew and Dylan Harvie and Garrett and Hudson Green.
