SUTHERLAND, Neb. — A woman escaped with minor injuries after a single-vehicle rollover accident south of Sutherland Saturday evening.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the crash around 6:55 p.m. on November 1st along West Power Road.
While first responders were on the way, the lone female occupant was able to exit the vehicle on her own before it became fully engulfed in flames.
Hershey Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene and worked quickly to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading further.
The driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene. Authorities say speed is believed to be a factor in the cause of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
