Robert Ren Kramer was born on November 25, 1942 in Valentine, Nebraska. He was one of four children born to Ren R. and Sylvia (Copeland) Kramer. Bob received his formal education in the Valentine School system, graduating from Valentine Rural High School.
He served his country by serving in the United States Army, being inducted on October 27, 1964 and being honorably discharged on June 30, 1985.
Bob married Katherine Tappe on September 23, 1967 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Valentine. This union was blessed with four children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, wine making, and bird watching. His greatest love was his family and spending time with them
Bob passed away on September 21, 2020 at the Cherry County Hospital in Valentine at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his father, Ren Kramer, and his mother, Sylvia Sharp; a brother, Fred Kramer; and a sister, Phyllis Kramer Duryea.
He is survived by his wife, Kay; daughers Patricia Sherman, Roberta (Matt) Lomax, and Dorothy (Rex) Gallino; and a son, William Kramer; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a brother, Lee Kramer.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
