Keith Alan Hinrichsen, age 52, of North Platte, passed from this life December 15th, 2021. He was raised in North Platte, NE, and graduated from North Platte High School in 1987. He then continued his education at Wyoming Technical Institute. After completing his education, he went to work for Body Works in North Platte as an automotive technician, until opening his own business Keith’s Body Shop.
He was self- motivated & created the very successful auto body repair shop still known today as Keith’s Body Shop. He was a person of extreme knowledge, determination and capability. He did everything big. He spoiled his family rotten and provided his love through that. He chose an early retirement at age 38 and followed all the kids’ sporting events. He pretended to know just about everything and most of the time he did. He loved traveling, and was a sucker for Disney World, he frequented Vegas and introduced many family and friends to the Vegas strip. Along the road he discovered a passion and incredible talent of building houses. He built, sold, & moved his family into new homes several times within a few short years and each house created new memories. He had absolutely no schooling in contracting, but was incredibly efficient & skilled at it. He was incredibly proud of the custom built homes that he built in North Platte. He had been with his wife for 31 years. They climbed many ladders together & traveled the world. He will be dearly missed and remembered as an overly confident, competitive and stubborn man, for that whom we loved.
Survivors include his wife Cathy of North Platte, NE; children, Ali (Stephen) Friesell of Kearney, NE, and Alex Hinrichsen of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Rowan, William and Nelle Friesell of Kearney; a sister, Kim Hinrichsen; nephew, Gregory (Priscilla) Vega; niece, Nicole Vega, all of North Platte; father-in-law, Bill Condon of North Platte; and numerous other family members and many friends.
