Mid-Plains Community College is offering a series of on-demand classes to help businesses develop a strong digital presence.
Each class is available now through February in a one-hour video format. A link to the videos is sent via email upon registration.
The classes include:
Create a Website: Retailers – Shopify
The course outlines how to take an online business idea from conception to reality. It will teach the basics of creating a website with Shopify – a simple, yet effective platform for e-commerce.
Create a Website: Services – Squarespace
This class is for service-related businesses that want to attract customers through a website. It will explain how to create a basic website using Squarespace, an ideal platform for services related to photography, education, fitness, non-profits, travel and other industries.
Email Marketing
Students will learn how email marketing can increase business revenue. The course will explore email software, best practices and why email marketing is relevant.
Google Products
The class will demonstrate the use of Google tools to promote a business. Students will create a free Google My Business listing to help customers find their business online or storefront. They will also learn more about G Suite tools and Google Analytics as well as the importance of being on Google Maps.
Social Media Strategies for Business
The course will explain how to use social media, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, to promote products and services and reach customers.
Brand Identity
Students will learn about brand identity and the elements that are important in creating credibility and trust with consumers, both online and off.
The classes are taught by marketing expert Tiffany Roe. Roe is a MPCC alum. After Mid-Plains, she went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Ottawa University.
As a small business owner, herself, Roe is passionate about digital marketing and the advantages it can have in helping small businesses make cost effective changes that improve profits.
The classes are $45 each or three for $119, the latter of which also includes a 45-minute consultation with Roe.
