Marilyn Frances Tarr Cunningham of Loveland, Colorado, passed away January 19, 2023 at her home at Bethesda Gardens in Loveland. 

   Marilyn was born to Paul and Katherine Caroline (Heuer) Tarr in Gothenburg, Nebraska on June 29, 1928.  She grew up on farms south of Arnold, Nebraska, and attended the Anderson and Mackley schools where she completed the 8th grade.
   Marilyn attended two years at Arnold High School before her parents moved to Logan County in 1944. She then attended Gandy High school her last two years, and graduated in 1946. 
   After graduation, Marilyn taught one year at Hoagland, one year at Gandy K-5, and one year at Pleasant Dale.
    While teaching school at Gandy, she met Clarence “Wayne” Cunningham on January 28, 1948.  They were married on June 6, 1948, and made their home in Arnold, Nebraska, where Wayne owned the Gambles store.  Wayne and Marilyn had two children; Ronald Lee, and Sharon Kay.  
   Marilyn was a homemaker, and also worked alongside her husband at Gambles.
   Marilyn was blessed with the gift of hospitality and enjoyed sharing her amazing home cooked meals and baked goods with others. 
   She loved Jesus, her family, and her many friends.  Marilyn was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and the American Legion Auxiliary. 
   Wayne and Marilyn relocated to Loveland, Colorado in 1995, where she lived the remainder of her life.

   Marilyn is survived by her son, Ron (Renee) Cunningham of Frederick, CO, daughter, Sharon (Steve) Bailey of Mead, CO; four grandchildren: Wendy Cunningham, Colin (Valerie) Cunningham, Austin Bailey, and Kaylin Bailey; three great granddaughters: Isla, Zadi, and Eden Cunningham, and brother, Melvin (Fern) Tarr.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Katherine, husband, Wayne, brother, Gilbert, and sister, Pauline. 

   Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Loveland, Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.  Graveside service will be at the Arnold cemetery in Arnold, NE, Friday, January 27, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. 

   Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church in Loveland or American Legion Auxiliary in Arnold in care of Kibbey-Fishburn Funeral Home in Loveland.
