
Linda Jean (Nelson) Flood passed away on October 23, 2022, at Great Plains Health.
She was born March 28, 1948, to Harry and Viola (Patterson) Nelson in North Platte. Linda attended school in North Platte, graduating in 1966. Linda moved to California, working for the airlines that she traveled on. It was there she met Bob Flood. They had three children together.
After moving back to Maxwell and North Platte, Linda worked several jobs, including the airlines in North Platte, the Eagles Club and Walmart before she retired. She was blessed with seven grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. Linda loved to go gambling. You could always find her on a flight to Wendover or Las Vegas.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Joan; and recently her brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Carolyn Nelson.
Linda is survived by her life-long companion, Ron Koester; her children, Rob (Kristin) Flood, Jim (Jen) Flood and Cathy Kohler; grandchildren, Dillon Whittier, Jacob, Kyle and Ryan Kohler and Taryn, Jaycee and Tenley Flood; her brother, Steve; nephew, Klete and his family; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends.

Celebration of life will be at a later date. Memorial book signing is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, at Carpenter Memorial Chapel, which has been entrusted with arrangements.
