Trampas Justin Osborne, 52, passed away on August 19, 2025. He was born on February 24, 1973, in Sutherland, Nebraska, to Terry and Cindy (Crosby) Osborne. Trampas grew up in Sutherland, graduating from Sutherland High School in 1991. After high school he moved to Omaha where he worked in construction for over 10 years. He returned home to Sutherland and built a career at the local ethanol plant, where he proudly worked for over 20 years. Most recently, his work in the ethanol industry led him to Phillipsburg, Kansas, where he was excited to begin a new job.
Trampas was the life of every party, known for having a good time, his love of hunting and golfing, and his time spent on Sutherland Reservoir fishing with friends. He cheered loudly for Husker football and volleyball, often hosting watch parties in his mom’s garage — a tradition that brought together family, friends, and neighbors.
Above all, Trampas loved his community. He could be found grilling at fundraisers, cheering on the Sailors, and giving his time wherever it was needed. His generosity and spirit left an indelible mark on Sutherland.
The proudest moments of his life were becoming a father to Hunter in 1998 and, more recently, “Grandpa” to Bryson and Sophia. Nothing brought him more joy than his family.
Trampas is survived by his mother, Cindy Crosby; siblings Elery (Andy) Hoban and Wylie (Dana) Osborne; son Hunter Osborne and girlfriend Kacie Edwards; grandchildren Bryson and Sophia; grandfather George Crosby; nephew Teghan Osborne, niece and nephews Berkeley, Cohen, and Beckett Osborne; his “brother from another mother,” Andy Scott; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends who were considered family. He was preceded in death by his father Terry Osborne; grandparents Charles Funk, Hazel Funk, Delores Crosby and uncles Jamie Osborne, Kerby Osborne, and Gary Roberts.
A celebration of life service will be at the Sutherland American Legion Hall on Friday at 5 p.m. Family and friends are encouraged to wear Huskers, Sailors or Denver Broncos attire.
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home is assisting the family.
