NORTH PLATTE, Neb - Drivers in Lincoln County should prepare for delays and lane reductions as the Department of Roads launches two key improvement projects in the coming days.
Beginning Monday, July 28, road crews will begin maintenance and repair on Hershey Dickens Road. The work is scheduled to run through Tuesday, July 29, with traffic reduced to a single lane between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Flaggers will be in place to direct traffic, and motorists are urged to use caution and obey all signage in the area.
Just two days later, on Wednesday, July 30, the county will begin its 2025 Subdivision Asphalt Overlay project. The project will kick off in the Fairway Estates subdivision south of Lake Maloney, move next to Prairie View Acres West near Highway 83, and wrap up with work in the Calvary Hills subdivision along Twin Lakes Road. Weather permitting, construction is expected to continue through August 22.
Officials with the Lincoln County Department of Roads are asking residents and commuters to plan for delays, reduce speed in work zones, and be patient as crews complete the necessary upgrades.
