NORTH PLATTE, Neb.-The West Central District Health Department again raised the COVID-19 Community Risk dial on Thursday.

The risk dial moved from a 2.92 up to a 3.0 this week, which remains within the elevated risk level. There were changes in the following variables that contributed to the movement in the dial:

We had an increase in the following:

  1. Measure ID R11: Individuals Affected

Considering feedback from the community, WCDHD has updated the look of the community risk dial. The new appearance more clearly displays the range of numbers expressed in each category. Please note that the change is in appearance only. There has been no change to the data used to formulate the level we are in on the dial.

With community partnership, wearing a mask in public, social distancing, avoiding crowded places, avoiding close contact, and avoiding confined spaces, officials say we can flatten the curve of COVID-19 in our area. #MaskUpAmerica #WearAMaskForMe
