NORTH PLATTE, Neb. — The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners will convene for a regular meeting on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 9 a.m. in the Commissioners Room of the Lincoln County Courthouse.
The meeting will begin with routine business, including consideration of claims and treasurer’s receipts. The board will also receive and file fee reports submitted by the county sheriff, county clerk, and register of deeds.
At 9:15 a.m., the commissioners will recess and reconvene as the Lincoln County Board of Equalization. The board will review and consider approval of minutes from the May 5 meeting, certificates of correction and refund submitted by the county assessor, and an offer to confess judgment in case number 24R-0350 before the Nebraska Tax Equalization and Review Commission.
Following equalization business, the commissioners will reconvene at 9:30 a.m. for a presentation by 6 Regions One Nebraska.
At 9:50 a.m., the board will discuss and consider authorizing the chair to sign a proclamation recognizing May 15 as Peace Officer Memorial Day in Lincoln County.
Additional agenda items include:
- 10:05 a.m.: Discussion of lighting improvements on the south side of the original courthouse building.
- 10:15 a.m.: Presentation by Allo Communications regarding a proposed broadband expansion project in the county. The board will also consider issuing a Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) letter of support for the initiative.
- 10:25 a.m.: Discussion and consideration of a proposed property management agreement with the Nebraska International Port of the Plains.
