On August 30, 2021, residents of Bradshaw, Nebraska, Al Michael Fhuere and Bud, his K-9 companion and copilot, died in Utah as the result of an accident while driving on the road. Al was 29 years old and Bud just turned 2.
Al was born to Kevin and Theresa Fhuere in North Platte, Nebraska, on January 17, 1992. He grew up in Nebraska, living in different towns. Al started school at Washington Elementary in North Platte then went to Sutherland for 3rd grade. The family moved to Central City where he attended grades 4-6 then while he was in 7th grade, they moved to Henderson where Al attended Bradshaw/Henderson junior high and later Henderson High School where he graduated.
While in high school, Al started working at Loves Truck Stop and Arby's until he graduated. He then went to trucking school at CR England in Salt Lake City, Utah, and became an over-the-road truck driver. Al started with reefer then switched to flatbed and drove for 8 years.
Al enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding and loved trucking with Bud, they had been together since Bud was 8 weeks old. Al will always be remembered for being kind, generous and loving and Bud was a wonderful and faithful companion. Al was always willing to help others, even when not asked. Al and Bud were taken from us all way too soon.
